Hi everyone and welcome to My Healthy Best website. Health has been a priority to me for as long as I can remember. It has become more important to me since my husband was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.

Together he and I have researched, purchased products and tried to compile an understanding of the effects of a variety of issues on the human body.  I do have chronic back pain. I did not always have it, and I did not have any trauma, like a car accident, that caused it.

Like many of you, I have had a job where I sit at a desk for 8 hours a day for 13 years now.  Let’s see, that’s approximately 27,000 hours (give or take) of sitting! I have chronic back pain and poor posture from sitting at that desk job.  And I sometimes have lower back pain from walking or standing too much, and just trying to sit for my commute to my desk job. I find myself moving and fidgeting the entire ride.

I also have some beautiful genetics which has cause my cholesterol to be at a point of concern since my twenties.  My Doctor was not concerned about the higher bad cholesterol at that time because my “good” cholesterol was well… good . But now, a couple of decades later and I have been harassed to lose weight or go on cholesterol medicine.  Not doing medicine – which is a personal choice right now.

Yeah about that weight loss. Genetics handed me a raw deal with the cholesterol but socialization and family dysfunction handed me a raw deal with anxiety and how to deal with life’s problems. (Oh don’t be so surprised at my family dysfunction. Your family had dysfunction too – admit it!) So eating to feel better has been a huge battle. Not to mention overcoming food addictions.

I want to give you Knowledge

Knowledge is power. If you don’t know something may have a negative impact on the human body, how can you choose differently?

My goal is to provide you with information  to help you become a more aware person about what may cause injury and illness and how to prevent or relieve it.

My Healthy Best means exactly that. No matter where you are on your journey in life, no matter how much or little money you might have – at this very moment in time you are doing the best you can with what you have. This includes your health and wellness.
